BIO

Debbie Anne Sequeira-Martinez, professionally known as Debra Foxx, is an actress, model, host, writer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. Although she grew up in South Florida, she’s originally from Kingston, Jamaica.

Debra has dreamt of being in the entertainment industry since a budding teenager. She made numerous attempts but felt great opposition. She decided to suppress her dreams and pursued the corporate world, earning a Bachelors Degree in Health Care Administration. Health care was short lived. Shortly after, she left and found success in banking where she worked for seven years. Banking may have been successful, but it was not full-filling nor was it her passion. Thankfully, with much influence from her supportive family, she reluctantly decided to follow her dreams of being an entertainer. She quickly emerged into the lime light.  This time determined to make her mark and set the stage for new and seasoned professionals.

After completing her first series of acting courses in October 2007, her fate changed and her career quickly took shape. Since then, she’s been on the pages of several print ads like Publix and Melaluca; she’s been featured on TV shows and webisodes; she’s also appeared in a number of television commercials such as Publix, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Jackson Hewitt, Cash America, to name a few.  She can also add films, industrials, conventions, infomercials, and voiceovers to her long list of credits. Debra made her theatrical debut as Lady in Brown in, For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf by Entosake Shange, summer of 2010. “Debra Foxx, as Lady in Brown, has fun with her tale of an 8-year-old with an imaginary friend, displaying comic timing and a way with accents,” states Matthew Palm of the Orlando Sentinel.

Debra unequivocally has the “it” factor and is convinced and committed to pursuing what she believes she was meant to do; living her life’s greatest desires and achieving all her goals as an entertainer. Driven by each job she completes, she works hard and continues to raise the bar. With such drive and determination one can only imagine what her future holds. Looks like you’ll have to stick around to see!!!
